Liquors and Spirits

Spir-it
Pronunciation: ‘spir-&t
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French or Latin; esprit, spirit, from Latin spiritus, literally, breath, from spirare to blow, breathe
[From the Merriam-Webster dictionary]

It’s interesting that as a synomym for distillate, “spirit” has connotations related directly to life: breath, the most involuntary and necessary of functions, is reconciled with ethanol-based distilled beverages with at least 35% alcohol composition. Thus, spirit consumption is necessary and natural to maintain our spirits! Pure logic.
